February 2008

Dear Reader,

Ohio 4-H Week is March 2-8, 2008.  How will YOUR club promote 4-H during his special week?  Ideas include posters in your school, decorating store windows, wearing club t-shirts, contacting local merchants to display messages on sign boards, special messages on school announcements, etc.

By now your club should have met, elected officers and planned the program for the year.  Your 4-H club program should include monthly meetings, educational programs and community service projects.   Don’t forget that our enrollment deadline is April 1.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time thus far to attend the advisor update that is required for at least one advisor from each club.  Many clubs have sent more than one advisor, which is great!  If your club has not yet had an advisor attend, there are two opportunities remaining: Thursday, February 21, and Tuesday, March 18.  Both sessions begin at 7:00pm at the Extension Office.  NO MAKE UP SESSIONS WILL BE OFFERED.
Your club will not be eligible to operate during 2008 unless an advisor from your club attends an update session.  Contact our office to register.

In closing:
Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing for others?”
