January 2008
Dear Reader,
I hope that your
new year is off to a great start and that you are ready for 2008.
By the end of January,
your club should have elected officers and have the club program planned
for the year. Each club meeting should include business meeting, project
work or guest speaker, recreation and refreshments. If club members
are complaining that meetings are boring, it’s time to make changes.
Try adding a different type of educational program or community service project.
The possibilities are endless.
Does your club have a constitution and/or by- laws? If not,
it’s time to get these documents written for your club. By-laws are
a helpful tool to utilize in establishing club guidelines and expectations.
Need help? Plan to attend the workshop on February 23, 2008, at 10:00am.
In closing:
Look for opportunities this year to make a significant long-term, positive
impact on the lives of others. The best way to feel good is to be good.
-- Michael Josephson
