Youth
Loans Available
The Farm Service
Agency (FSA) makes loans to individual rural youths to establish and operate
income-producing projects of modest size in connection with their participation
in 4-H and FFA.
Each project
must be part of an organized and supervised program of work.
To qualify for a
loan, youth must be between 10 and 20 years old; live in a town of less than
10,000 people, be unable to obtain a loan from other sources and conduct
a modest income producing project in a supervised plan of work.
For additional information,
visit the FSA web
site.
Or you may contact our office for a copy of the
application.

Thank
You Notes
If you received
a trophy or special award or sold an animal through one of the livestock
auctions, send a thank you note to your sponsor or buyer.
Ads in the newspaper
or signs above stalls/pens at the fair are great, but they should not be
considered as a replacement for taking the time to write a personal note.
I hope YOU won’t
be the reason a sponsor ends his or her relationship with 4-H or Junior Fair.
Take time to
let the community know how much we value and appreciate their support.

Thank You, Senior Fairboard
The Darke County
Senior Fairboard provides ribbons and rosettes that are awarded to Junior
Fair participants. In addition, they pay for judges, provide premiums
and many other miscellaneous items. Their monetary support of the Junior
Fair exceeds $40,000.
In addition to
monetary support, they allow us to use buildings and show rings, free of
charge, for meeting space throughout the year.
Have you thanked
a fairboard member for their support of the Junior Fair?
Their address is
Darke County Agricultural Society, 800 Sweitzer Street, Greenville, OH 45331.
Senior Fairboard
meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month, 7:30pm, at the Secretary’s
Office on the fairgrounds.
