Clover Rover

4-H clover
July/August 2006

Dear Reader,

This is the last issue of the Clover Rover that you will receive prior to the fair.  READ IT!

My annual reminder:  The purpose of Jr. Fair activities is to promote a positive learning environment for our Jr. Fair exhibitors.  Exhibitors, parents and volunteers are expected to maintain a friendly level of sportsmanship and cooperation throughout the fair.

It’s the process, not the project, that is the most important.  The primary objective of Jr. Fair is to highlight our youth and what they have learned and/or accomplished during the year.  Not everyone can win a trophy or a blue ribbon, but everyone is a winner for giving it their best.  Each and every one of our youth is a blue ribbon kid!

We, as adults, should be leading by example and serving as positive role models for our youth and for the community.
Just a reminder that the Jr. Fair King & Queen pageant is Tuesday, July 18, 7:00pm at Memorial Hall in Greenville.  Special thanks to the Senior Fairboard for sponsoring our pageant and our Jr. Fair activities in general.  If you see a fairboard member, thank them personally.

In closing:
“No matter what accomplishments you achieve, somebody helps you.”
-- Althea Gibson, tennis player (1927-2003)

See YOU at the fair!

Sincerely,
