2006
Dear
Reader,
School’s out and
that means another busy summer of 4-H activities have begun!
Horse Camp will be
held June 14-16, at the fairgrounds. My thanks to the Horse Committee
for planning and conducting this event. Thanks, also, to the Senior
Fairboard for allowing us to use the fairgrounds for this hands-on, educational
experience.
Included with this
newsletter is a schedule for county judging.
Please encourage your 4-Hers with non-livestock projects to participate
in this event. The experience of speaking with a judge and talking
about their projects will help 4-Hers to acquire valuable skills that will
last a lifetime.
As you make preparations
for fair events and activities, don’t forget that your theme for your fair
booth and float should somehow reflect the 150th anniversary of the Great
Darke County Fair.
In closing:
“A diamond is a
lump of coal that stuck with it.” —Anonymous
Sincerely,
Rhonda
