CarTeens Application
January 1, 2000
ELIGIBILITY: Any Darke County teen, age 15 and older, interested in reducing second-time traffic violations among Darke County teen drivers.
REQUIREMENTS: CarTeens must observe one 4-H CarTeen program in action as training to become a 4-H CarTeen. Public speaking is involved, as well as assisting with set-up, registration, leading group discussion and program wrap-up. The CarTeens program is usually conducted the second Saturday of each month from 9:00am-11:00am at the Extension Office. CarTeens are not expected to be present for the program each month. Demand depends upon the number of 4-H CarTeens involved in the program.
PARTICIPATION AWARDS: Each 4-H CarTeen will receive, free of charge, a 4-H CarTeen polo shirt. (These shirts are red with the 4-H CarTeen logo on the left front.) CarTeens who help with three or more CarTeens presentations throughout 2000 will be entered in a drawing for a $25.00 gift certificate from the merchant of their choice (subject to approval from Rhonda & Beth) to be awarded in December, 2000.
