A 3-hour class is being offered for those farmers wanting to become certified to meet fertilizer requirements. In Ohio, any farmer applying fertilizer (other than manure) to more than 50 acres of agricultural land must have their Fertilizer Certification. The training covers proper applications and record keeping, understanding Ohio water quality issues, nutrient management for crops and other topics related to fertilizer use on agricultural land.
The cost for the class is $30 and will include all books and materials needed. No meal will be featured at this event. Those planning to participate in the class can contact Caden Buschur at 937-569-5001 or buschur.46@osu.edu by February 6 to register.
