Ohio –Dr. Scammahorn, FCS Educator, Darke County; Ken Stewart, FCS Educator, Monroe County; Lorrissa Dunfee, FCS Educator, Belmont County (Standing); Rae Baker, Healthy Relationships State Specialist, and Misty Harmon, FCS Educator, Pike County (seated) were honored with the Distinguished Team-Teaching Award on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the Ohio State University Extension Annual Conference.

Tai Chi for Beginners

Tai Chi is an exercise program for the health of the mind and body.  Through fluid movements, controlled breathing, and mental concentration participants integrate their mind and body in ancient Chinese art.  Tai Chi decreases arthritis pain, helps prevent falls, increases flexibility, and improves mental and physical balance.  Exercises can be done in a seated position or standing up.
